Manual tongs are conventional tools applied in drilling or workover operation. They are designed for making up and breaking out thread connections of tubular goods. The tubular goods can be from light tubing to heavy wall drill pipe or drill collar. Drilling manual tong is constructed with lug jaws, pins and a long arm. Through the change of lugs or pin position, the manual tong handling size can be altered. This casing tong is loaded when in service. The line pull on lever should be at a right angle to axis of lever. And casing tong dies must be fully engaged, not to exceed the rating torque on manual tongs at any time.
- Drilling manual tong is cast from high quality alloy steel, heat-treated and MPI tested.
- Torque capacity of the manual tongs varies from 35KN•m to 90KN•m. And the actual torque after product testing is always 1.5 times of the rating torque.
